Yala Fund was set up after the 2004 Tsunami to help distressed families in the area around Yala National Park in south-eastern Sri Lanka. Yala's work has widened out from the Tsunami to encompass relief for schools, shoes and books for children, medical grants and helping poor families set themselves up in business. More than £400,000 has been raised so far.
Our costs are covered from corporate donations and Gift Aid, meaning that 100% of your donation goes to the recipient. Donors are kept personally involved through letters and photographs.
