Mopeds for Shilpa Social Workers, November 2005

Yala Fund is sponsoring 50 tsunami children through Shilpa Children's Trust, a local charity which is supporting more than 260 children in Hambantota district. Social workers, many of them themselves tsunami survivors, were having to catch the bus then walk miles to visit the children. Yala Fund has supplied them with mopeds to allow them to do their jobs more easily.
